December truly is the month of magic and I have been blessed with two new skincare discoveries which I’m excited to share.
I tend to change up my skincare routine quite regularly because my skin quickly builds up tolerances against products that I continuously use and so I am forever on the hunt for the next best and affordable skincare fix.
This month I have been extremely satisfied with my new discoveries and I am most impressed with how smooth and soft my skin is currently looking and feeling. I’m tempted to say that this could even be the best my skin has ever looked! So here are my favourite skincare finds this month.
CoQ10 + Caviar Face mask sheet
This is the best face mask I have ever used in my entire life and no I’m not exaggerating. It leaves a huge amount of residue which they describe as a serum and instead of washing it off like a normal mask, the directions on the back of the pack clearly instruct you to massage the serum all over your face and neck until completely rubbed in. I did this in circular motions and just before bed time so when I woke up my skin was the softest it has ever been. It improved the overall appearance of my skin tone as I have quite a bit of redness which had completely cleared up by the morning. It even reduced some of my texture and that was after just one use! I got this in my December Look Fantastic beauty box so I’m going to buy a stash of these now to keep my skin fab throughout the rest of winter. This mask is packed full of vitamins especially vitamin E as well as antioxidants and I can honestly say I’ve never had a mask that has made my skin feel so nourished and comforted.
You can grab these from Superdrug for £4.99 a pack.
ObeyYourBody Mineraux Purifying Gel Peel
Right, so this product was actually sold to me at the ideal home show by the pushiest sales assistant I have ever met. She absolutely assured me that this gel would peel dead skin right off my face. But on application I felt no tingling and not a single burning sensation which is unlike any other skin peeling product I’ve tried. As nice as it was to not feel like my face was burning off, the pain free application really did make me doubt if this product was legitimate with its skin peeling claim.
However the beauty addict within me was enticed by the promise of beautiful skin and I decided to buy it at the price of £40 which seemed to be a bargain after I looked this product up online to find it retailing at £80 plus. It has amazing reviews so I put it to the test the second I got home.
Three weeks on I’ve noticed a huge difference in my skin texture- it’s definitely less bumpy and the tone is a little more even too. Does it actually peel my dead skin off though? Well the truth is I’m really not sure. But it does remove every bit of grease and it seems to almost suck the dirt out from my pores. Most importantly it definitely improves texture. As much as I actually love this product I would be a bit apprehensive to spend £80 on it. It’s not that I don’t think it’s worth that money but there are so many affordable skin care products on the market so I’m sure I could find something equally as affective for a cheaper price. Saying that, if I could buy this product at £40 every time then I would definitely restock because this really has helped improve my skin texture.
You’ll have to google this to try and find the cheapest price.
